We are currently going through a
Sermon Series @ Church called "Speaking of God." Last Sunday the scripture was
Psalm 88 and we talked about how we behave or things we might say to God when he doesn't behave like we expect. I have to to say that I have used a variety of things to express my anger, sadness, frustrations, etc in these situations. I wish I could say that I never get angry at God and that I always so..."OK God, I know you know what you are doing. I trust you completely," but that is not always the case. Some of the following are the ones the come to mind most often.
"WHY?"
"Are you kidding me?"
"Why Me?"
"Are you listening??"
"What were you thinking?"
"I can't believe you let that happen!"
"I don't think I can handle any more!"
"I trust you know what you are doing"
I'm sure there are a lot more. I know that God will never give me more than I can handle. I have to remind myself of that a lot, but I know deep down He is always looking out for me. I believe that God has been trying to teach me to be patient my entire life. I don't know if I am getting any better at it.
I try to also be quick to THANK God when things do go as expected or when things turn out better than anticipated.
I have seen a lot of people of facebook postings things that are thankful for this month. Thanksgiving is just 3 weeks away. I have lots to be thankful for...here are just a few
